On 27th of July this year, Jayson Gillham appears at the Oxford Piano Festival playing all-Chopin programme. The opening recital of the Festival takes place at the historic Holywell Music Room and presents the set of 24 Etudes from opus 10 and opus 25 that famously study “combining musical substance and technical challenge into a complete artistic form”. From the exhilarating youthful opener of the Rondo in E-flat major, Op.16 to the grand ending with the Polonaise A-flat major, Op 53, the entire programme promises truly revealing multiple pianistic journeys.
