Antoni Wit returns to Sofia

Following highly successful collaboration last season, Antoni Wit  returns to the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra  to conduct all-Polish programme of Moniuszko, Szymanowski, Karlowicz and Kilar at the Bulgaria Concert Hall in Sofia on 9 January 2020.  The National Philharmonic Choir of Sofia and three Polish vocal soloists: Iwona Hossa soprano, Ewa Marciniec alto and Jarosław Bręk bass baritone will join the Orchestra in the Szymanowski’s Stabat Mater. Yi-Jia Susanne Hou performs at Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims

Yi-Jia Susanne Hou will perform a recital at Flâneries Musicales de Reims  on 8 February 2020 as part of their 30th anniversary season. She will be joined by a Japanese pianist Yumeko Mochizuki in the programme of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Ravel, He/Chen and Takemitsu under a joint title “Harmonies d’Orient” at the unique venue of the historic Demeure des Comtes de Champagne in Reims.

Antoni Wit conducts Mahler in Warsaw

Mo Antoni Wit  returns to the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra  in all-Mahler programme featuring Symphony No 1 in two concerts on 13th & 14th of December. For the first part of the programme he will be joined by the renowned Austrian baritone Markus Werba  performing a selection of songs from the cycles Des knaben Wunderhorn  and Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, whose CD recording of this repertoire was released on Nomad label earlier this year.

Jakub Chrenowicz conducts Tansman with Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra

Jakub Chrenowicz returns to Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra to lead an anniversary concert on 8 November at the acclaimed venue of Adam Mickiewicz University Auditorium in Poznań. The unique 20th century programme will bring together works of Franz Xaver Scharwenka, Janusz Stalmierski and Roman Palester, culminating in rarely performed Aleksander Tansman’s Symphony No. 3 – Symphonie Concertante for Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano and Orchestra.

Antoni Wit tours with Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire

Maestro Antoni Wit  returns to the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire next month to conduct Sibelius Symphony No 1 in six concerts during the Orchestra’s regional tour in Angers, Cholet and Nantes. The programme will also feature Saint Saens Piano Concerto no 2 with Bertrand Chamayou as soloist on November 17th, 19th, 20th and 21st and with Daniel Kharitonov performing it on November 14th and 16th.

Teo Gheorghiu debuts at Teatro Mayor in Bogota

Teo Gheorghiu  makes his recital debut at the renowned Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo  in Bogota, Columbia on 17 July. His varied programme will feature works by Debussy, Enescu, Granados, Albeniz and Ravel and will be presented as the launch of the 36th International Piano Festival in Bogota. On 16 July Teo will also conduct a Masterclass.

Jakub Chrenowicz conducts at Konzerthaus Berlin

Jakub Chrenowicz  makes his debut at the Konzerthaus Berlin on 19 July leading superb Polish orchestra founded by Jerzy Semkow Sinfonia Iuventus. The concert presented as part of the annual series the Young Euro Classic 2019 Series will feature an exhilarating programme of Beethoven Symphony No 6 “Pastorale“ and No 5 interspersed by Artur Malawski’s Toccata für kleines Orchester (1947). One of the most talented and sought-after emerging Polish conductors, Jakub Chrenowicz has successfully worked with all the key orchestras in Poland including Warsaw Philharmonic, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Sinfonia Varsovia, Poznań Philharmonic  as well as the Polish National Opera.  Former conducting student of Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and assistant conductor to Antoni Wit at the Warsaw Philharmonic, he made conducting debuts in Europe with the Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin and the Orquestra Simfònica del Gran Teatre del Liceu  in Barcelona. Since the 2017/18 season Jakub Chrenowicz holds the position of Chief Conductor of the Koszalin Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland.
